Bears: common spring–fall. Lock the car, never leave food or garbage out (balconies included). Conservation Officer line 1-877-952-7277. Do not approach.

Dogs: off-leash at Alpha Lake Park, Rainbow Park (seasonal), Barking Bay. Village is on-leash.

Cell service is spotty on the Sea to Sky and in the backcountry — download offline maps.

Weather: Village 675 m, peaks 2,200 m — can be raining below and dumping up top. Check the snow report before writing off a day.
