Can you help with local regulations and compliance specific to Whistler?

Absolutely. We have a Tourism Accommodation Business License from the municipality. We can offer guidance on short-term vacation rental zoning laws. We can help you apply for a BC Short Term Rental License, and in some cases we can apply on your behalf and obtain one through our business. For VRBO and direct bookings we withhold and remit the local MRDT short term accommodation taxes.

How do you book properties directly in Whistler?

A guest would go to our direct booking page and request their desired dates to stay at one of our properties. They can find our direct booking page through Google and on our www.truenorthproperties.ca. This saves our guests money, adds to our bottom line and payments are securely processed through Stripe.

Can owners use their own units freely?

Absolutely. Our goal is to be flexible and build a working relationship with our clients. For some clients their property is solely an investment and they may stay in it once a year. For others their property is also a weekend home in the winters. We will work with you to accommodate your needs.

How do you screen guests?

Screening guests involves gathering information about their stay, communicating to understand their needs, and verifying their identity and reputation through identification, background checks, and reviews. Requirements such as government-issued ID, credit card verification, and references from previous hosts ensure transparency and security.

How often are payouts handled?

Payouts are completed in the first few days of the new month. You are emailed an owner's statement that breaks down revenue, cleaning costs, management fees and any associated expenses, along with helpful metrics like occupancy rates and ADR (average daily rate).

TV: TV is controlled with the small Samsung TV remotes (white in the master bedroom and black in the living room, as pictured). TV can be turned on/off and volume controlled. Feel free to browse the options, and sign in to your favourite streaming platforms
Ski Storage: Obtain ski locker & code from front desk
Bike Storage Secure bike storage on p2
Parking The front desk will provide you with a parking pass. Parking is first come first serve in the parkade.
House Rules: No smoking or vaping in the home, on the patio or anywhere within the complex. No skis or bikes permitted in the Condo. No parties. No pets
Quiet time: from 10:00PM to 8:00AM
Plastic cups are to be used when taking beverages to the pool/hot tub
Please remove shoes/ski boots when entering the home
If something has been accidentally damaged, stained, or broken you may be covered. All you need to do is report it to us.
Additional Fees: Noise complaint: 105$ (a complaint from a neighbour that results in security being dispatched to room to deliver complaint)

Check-out time is 10:00AM - Before departure please start the dishwasher. Take the garbage and recycling downstairs to parking garage garbage rooms and please close and lock all windows and doors. It is not required, but it is a HUGE HELP if you can start a load of laundry (either towels or sheets + pillow cases) before you check out. Some days our cleaners have to flip 4 - 5 properties and it really helps them.

If you are arriving after front desk closing hours please tell me ahead of time so I can prepare the keys to be left in the lockbox. The 3rd photo is the entrance to the parking garage - the 4th photo is just inside the parking garage the yellow key card scan that opens the parking garage gate. The last video is how you unlock the bathroom door if it becomes locked from the inside.
