Getting Here & What to Pre Book

Getting to Whistler

  • From Vancouver/YVR: ~2 hrs (120 km) up Highway 99. No gas north of Squamish for 50KM stretch.

  • Winter tire / chain law, Oct 1 – Apr 30 on Hwy 99: vehicle needs M+S or mountain-snowflake tires, or carry chains. Rental cars from YVR are not always winter-equipped you must request it. Not only is it dangerous to yourself and others, but fines are large and cars get turned around at Squamish during winter storms.
